If you're looking for it, it's here! Note that it is very alpha - there are obvious "to be done" things in it ... but it does work as a camera driver at 320x240 and 640x480 (and probably others depending on how the LinuxUVC driver behaves but that's all I've tested). Player/Stage 2.x version is coming but not for a little while yet, the code is GPL'd though so if anyone else wants to have a shot go right ahead! :-)
